The all-new E-Class Sedan W214 sets a new standard in design, inside and out. The new dynamic exterior is sure to impress, while on the inside, the latest MBUX multimedia system ensures an even more personalised in-vehicle experience.

The new E-Class W214 receives a longer body with enhanced aerodynamics, a larger interior with contemporary digital functions, and more advanced driver assistance systems.

The wheelbase is roughly one inch longer than its predecessor, allowing second-row passengers more room. 
At 4949mm in length, 1880mm in width and 1468mm in height, the new Mercedes-Benz sedan is 26mm longer, 28mm wider and the same height as its predecessor. It also uses a wheelbase that is 22mm longer than the old E-Class at 2961mm.

This makes it the same length, but 26mm narrower and 37mm lower than the EQE sedan. 

It’s available with two different front ends: a sleek grille featuring vivid slats and a Mercedes-Benz emblem, as well as a sportier version with a large star motif.

From the illuminated radiator grille to the elegantly dynamic rear end design with fascinating lighting details: the all-new E-Class Sedan speaks the language of exciting design and follows with the progressive stylistic elements that are characteristic of innovative dynamism. The split taillights impress with their new contour and an unmistakable star-look interior.

The design of the 2024 E-Class adopts a lineage similar to the smaller C-Class and larger S-Class, giving the trio of Mercedes-Benz sedans the most cohesive and familiar look - a welcome change for some, rather the the more futuristic appearance of the EQ range of late.
Interesting the rear gets a shorter boot lid with more coupe-like styling like the now-axed CLS. The horizontal taillights extend into the outer edges of the boot lid feature distinctive star signatures.

The E-Class sedan's aerodynamic properties have been improved, with a drag coefficient of 0.23 for the most streamlined launch model despite a larger frontal area than its predecessor, at 2.36 versus 2.34 square metres.

Inside, the standard dashboard receives a free-standing 12.3-inch instrument display and a 14.4-inch portrait-style infotainment touchscreen.

Optionally you can upgrade to Mercedes-Benz’s new Superscreen. It combines the free-standing 12.3-inch instrument display with a 14.4-inch central infotainment touchscreen and an optional 12.3-inch passenger display.

Another new feature is an optional camera available with the MBUX Superscreen. Mounted atop the dashboard, it allows the driver to take selfie photographs and join online video conferences when the car is stationary.
If that is not enough, the new E-Class also gets a more advanced ambient lighting system, which can be programmed to pulse with the music playing on the speakers.

At first in Europe, the new E-Class is available with a 150kW 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, and a 145kW turbocharged 2.2-litre four-cylinder (badged E220d).

Joining the initial line is a 190kW turbo 2.0-litre petrol four-cylinder in the E350, a 280kW turbo 3.0-litre six-cylinder in the E450, a 195kW turbo 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel in the E300d, and a 275kW turbo 3.0-litre six-cylinder diesel in the E450d.

All engines are mated to a nine-speed automatic gearbox with a column-mounted shift lever and, optional steering wheel-mounted shift paddles. Standard models get rear-wheel drive, with the E220d and E300e also available with optional 4Matic all-wheel drive.

3 petrol-electric plug-in hybrid models are on sale in Europe: the rear-wheel-drive E300e and all-wheel-drive E300e 4Matic and E400e 4Matic.
With a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol engine and 95kW electric motor to provide system outputs of 230kW in the E300e and E300e 4Matic, and 280kW in the E400e 4Matic.  All three plug-in hybrid models receive a 24.1kWh battery – 10.6kWh larger than the previous model – giving the new models between 111km and 118km of electric driving range on Europe's WLTP test cycle.
