Hyundai-Staria-Towbars-Maximum-Towing-Capacity

Can the Spaceship Hyundai Staria tow? Maximum towing capacity?  Need a Staria towbar?

The Hyundai Staria is very distinctive and demonstrates a new design path for vans in general. A front light bar, huge front grille, and maximum interior space concept all combine for a very eye catching look.

Strikingly futuristic, STARIA's sleek exterior design utilises minimalist lines for maximum visual impact. Defined by a single fluid curve running from front to back, it inspired by the halo that illuminates Earth’s horizon during sunrise when viewed from space. The spaceship vibe is echoed by its expansive panoramic windows and lower belt lines, underscoring the openness of the interior.

The Staria is designed for those who care less about blending into the SUV crowd and prioritise practicality above all.

As you'll expect from a van, you’re sat very high within what seems like a glasshouse. This sort of panoramic, commanding view of the road ahead is something that is increasingly rare in the new car market - old-school French and Italian MPVs tried the concept years ago.

The Staria’s futuristic theme carries on inside with a focus firmly on minimalism to maximise space.  The Hyundai Staria has a super spacious cabin. The dimensions of the Hyundai Staria are 5,253 mm and 1,997 mm with a height of 1,990 mm. Such large dimensions provide more comfort, making it suitable for large families - 7 or 9 seats available.

Innovative touches include:
STARIA Premium ambient light.
The 64-colour ambient light lets you create a lush interior atmosphere. It illuminates the cockpit, console, doors and cargo areas.
Passenger watch and talk.
A wide-angle camera brings rear passengers (or pets) onto the screen in the front while unique microphones and speakers support easy conversation.
Walk-in device.
This clever feature allows the driver to slide and recline the front passenger seat via a button on the seat for easy entry and more comfort.
Power sliding door.
Nice and easy. No hands or button pressing is required. The smart door senses your presence and slides open automatically when you have the smart key with you.

Boot space is rated at a minimum 831 litres with the third row up and in use, expanding to 1303L from the second row. The rearmost seats don’t fold into the floor, but you can fold them down or push them right up against the second-row seats to maximise cargo-carrying capacity when you need it.

The massive electric tailgate takes makes light work of accessing the boot. The Staria’s tall, boxy dimensions means you can fit just about anything back there.  Need to carry even more, or take your bikes with you on your next weekend away? Why not fit a Staria towbar?  Hyundai has rate the Staria for a max of 2000kgs - our towbar range is rated the same.

The workhorse version is Hyundai Staria Load and the Load Premium, availablein two-seat and five-seat options in the range. However, the premium van is only available as a two-seater. While the lower specification grade Staria Load vans can be set up with barn doors – which allows better rear access for a forklift – the Premium model is only available with a one-piece rear door that is hinged at the top. It opens up to full horizontal, but still gets in the way of a forklift. Still practical for most small businesses.

There's plenty of safety technology available in this van. This includes autonomous emergency braking (which includes junction, pedestrian and cyclist detection), rearward collision avoidance, blind-spot monitoring, driver attention warning, lane-keep assist and lane-follow assist, intelligent speed limit assist, rear cross-traffic alert, safe exit warning and a 360-degree camera.

The Hyundai Staria has a five-star ANCAP safety rating.  There are dual front, side and curtain airbags inside, along with a front centre airbag between the two front occupants. The Staria scored 85 per cent for adult occupant protection, while child occupant protection goes untested. Vulnerable road users (pedestrians) get 65 per cent, while the Staria's safety assist systems get a 74 per cent rating.

While SUVs are still the most popular sellers, there’s still a case to be made for a proper family van.

The Hyundai Staria’s move to passenger car underpinnings helps it to balance everyday driveability with the practical benefits of a commercial van-based people mover, and presents value for money.

Diesel and AWD are so rare in the MPV market, and it has all the tech and features you’d expect of a high-end Hyundai. It’s a comfortable and refined way to transport many people or stuff around.

Increase the Staria's practically and fit an Euro Towbar today.
