Toyota has turned out a new version of its RAV4, one of the pioneers of the segment when it launched the original in 1994. The new Toyota RAV4 has moved with the times to appeal to modern families.

The boot is among the biggest in its class (580L), and cabin roominess has improved even though it’s slightly shorter bumper-to-bumper than before.

The 2019 RAV4 has considerably more substance than the outgoing model.
It’s more robust, promises more off-road capability, has a chassis agile enough to satisfy and its design, particularly inside, is definitely a step up.

The RAV4’s hybrid fuel economy is real, whereas plug-in hybrids only do their magic numbers in short commutes with regular mains connection. The RAV4 will be able to do the weekend getaway without worrying about the distance.

No-one ever accused Toyotas of unreliability, with the quality of the complicated hybrid not skipping the Toyota standards we all know. So residuals are also class-leading.
