Smallest ever Audi SUV now in Australia - the pocket-sized Q2. Can it tow? Need a towbar?
Despite being the brand's smallest SUV, the 2017 Audi Q2 has some big shoes to fill. The Q2 is designed to be fresh, interesting and appeal to a new younger buyer that might not otherwise consider an Audi.
Loaded with Tech. Irrespective of which model takes your fancy, the Q2 range is generously equipped. Entry-grade Q2 1.4 TFSI design scores 17-inch alloy wheels, idle-stop, front and rear parking sensors, a reversing camera, dual-zone climate-control and Audi’s MMI infotainment array with satellite-navigation and voice control.
The Q2 measures 1.51 metres tall and 1.79 metres wide and is 4.19 metres long with a wheelbase of 2.60 metres. It has 147mm of ground clearance. The boot defies the Q2's compact dimensions with 405 litres of storage, or 1050 litres with the standard 60:40 rear seat folded - that's 25 litres more than an A3 Sportback, but 55 litres under the Q3's cargo capacity.
The new Audi Q2 is a pretty solid all-round package. It looks and feels premium, offers the company's latest infotainment and driver assist technologies, and can be personalised to a far greater extent than its stablemates thanks to the array of bright colours, contrasting body elements, and affordable option packages. Audi has certainly met the brief of a youthful urban runabout that is capable of grand touring, while also meeting the practicality and capability expectations of an SUV.
Maximum towing capacity of the new Audi Q2: 2035kgs, 75kgs noseload. Need an Audi Q2 towbar?
