“ Excellent service fitting the removable tow bar in my own garage. Took approximately 1.5 hours. A little expensive but my philosophy is ‘you get what you pay in life’! I’ve already recommended TowbarsXpress to the MG dealership down here at Col Crawford at Narrabeen. The Spare Parts and Accessories Dept from there told me previously that there were no tow bar fittings available for MG4 vehicles. I informed the salesperson, from whom I bought the car, that this was incorrect and TowbarsXpress were very efficient and professional. I can now easily transport my bike on the back of my car. Only downside was that the wiring kit came with the euro style plug so it cost me more to get my local fitter to convert it.---------------REPLY------------------- Glad our towbar met our expectations - OEM - quality - we supply most BMW dealers. All our plugs are the large round 7 Pin to take advantage of the hideaway bracket. We can always provide the same plug for your bike carrier/trailer just let us know when ordering. If you prefer a flat plug, no worries, our fitters will quickly and easily wire the vehicle socket into a plastic 7 flat plug instead during the fitting - 2mins work. The majority of vehicles nowadays have factory-prepared towbar attachment points, that makes life much easier. „

“ Overall it is a quality product however no English instructions were supplied and the trailer harness plug is not consistent with Australian standard wiring plugs. Relatively easy to install even without English instructions, though slight modification to the rear bumper bar was required to make it fit. Four stars due to incompatibility of trailer harness plug and poor fitting instructions. ---------------------------------------------------------- All our plugs are the large round 7 Pin to take advantage of the hideaway bracket. Installation; basically, press the BRAKE/STOP and find the wire which is powered (when only the brake is pressed- use a voltage tester) in the rear wiring lighting loom of the vehicle - note down the colour of the wire. Scotch lock the corresponding wire from the wiring kit ie. rd=Red wire from the wiring kit to the STOP wire in the vehicle loom. Do the same for each function/light.  „

“ The towbar is a good fit and installation went pretty easy considering I'd never installed a towbar before. Wiring kit would be better with Y splitters instead of the press crimps provided. The loops for securing trailer chains interfere with the hitch going into its socket and the ability to remove the hitch after use, so it has to bent away from the release and on the left side it's in the way of the wiring socket coming all the way down -------------------------------------------------------------REPLY------------------------ If fitted correctly will not interfere with the receiver and attaching/detaching the ball. Please ensure you have selected an appropriate location - we suggest using the 3rd bottom nut located furthest from the bumper. Can be rotated at any angle to ensure does not interfere. „

“ Towbar is a perfect fit, Took me closer to 3.5 hours as opposed to 1.5 the manual mentions for the bar alone. Allow another solid 4 hours for the wiring, it's not Plug'n'Play, which for the money you're paying is a bit poor. Just take your time and be careful with your rear assy as you remove it and replace it. As Chris states, the 7 pin Plug will be hard up against the muffler if you follow the instructions (there is stuff all room in these cars). I decided to simply leave my plug in the spare wheel area as many previous cars do. -----------------------------------------------------REPLY--------------------- Estimated fitting times are based on professionals that fit towbars day in and day out. It is difficult to judge DIY ability, experience and competence. The Kona N and other Sport models have huge exhausts and are not designed with towing in mind, rather performance& sound - hence our towbars try and fit the restrictive space available to allow owners to increase their vehicle's practicality - we provide the least obtrusive designed towbars even on performance vehicles with their sporty design - not perfect but the best-looking result.  „

“ The Tesla 2023 Model Y towbar arrived complete and very well packaged, and instructions for install were detailed and fairly easy to follow, towbar install went easily, ( about an hour), wiring diagrams were not generic to Model Y, had to determine wiring colour code myself to then connect to harness. Only difficult part was removing the internal side linings to access the wiring, then running the power lead to the front battery. Otherwise, wiring completed and tested ok. This is my second euro towbar install, and the end product is as described, fully functional towbar that when removed is invisible. Very well designed and executed, thanks. „

“ Very good piece of equipment: the locking / detaching mechanism is simple and effective, and the key lock gives good security. Once removed, the mounting fittings are effectively invisible unless you get down to the ground and look underneath - even the electrical connection is on a swing arm, so that it rotates up and out of view when not in use. The installation service is great; they came to my workplace, so it didn't take any time out of my day and I got the confidence that everything was set up properly by a competent and trained professional. My towbar mounted bicycle carrier (equipped with full rear light replication from my vehicle) has been used several times now and it works perfectly. „

“ Ordering process was easy and arrived quickly & undamaged. The tow bar fits well & works perfect. The quality is excellent. I used the original MOPAR wiring harness and had to install the 7 pin, swing down, connector on the opposite side to instructions, as wiring harness was a bit short. The instructions could be better, as there is a large metal bracket behind the bumper, which has to be removed and only way to do this is by removing the rear bumper, if bracket remains causes bumper to flex out, creating a large gap against body. My advise, is remove the rear bumper & then fit the tow bar, much easer install this way. Provides a processional look, with no bumper cutting, therefore leaving your number plate on the bumper & not having to install an ugly relocation bracket on the spare wheel. The Hitch also does not set off the park sensors & aligns perfectly with the centre line of the reversing camera. Highly recommend this hitch set up. „

“ SERVICE 100% DELIVERY 100% PRODUCT 100% FITTING : VERY EXPENSIVE - THE FITTING "INSTRUCTIONS" SENT WITH THE BAR BORE NO RELATION TO THE REALITY OF THE FITTING PROCESS. ------------Reply------------- Unfortunately, we do not currently have our own fitters in Cairns. Our installers are experienced with Euro vehicles, and most mechanics that deal with BMWs regularly find our towbars a breeze. There could be a steep learning curve if something is new/different if there is no experience with a particular vehicle. Glad you are happy with our service, delivery and product - unfortunately, we have no control over the independent mechanic that fitted your towbar :(  „

“ The product itself is great. The Towbar itself fitted exactly as described. The only things i can pick are that the instructions should be a bit more English friendly if they are going to sell to English speaking countries and the wiring going into the back of the trailer plug needs a bit more thought put into it as fitting what is provided they way it is instructed to do so on a Kona N will cause the wiring to be hard up on the muffler which is obviously useless, you have to modify this. Otherwise a perfect kit. „

“ The business model for this type of product is a little disconcerting with all communication online. Phone calls will not be taken! My wife did some forensic social media stalking and we managed to track down and speak to someone who had left a review. They confirmed that everything turned up as advertised - direct from Poland - so l felt comfortable enough to place my order. My package arrived promptly by UPS (regional NSW) and l was put in contact with a fitter who did a great job. Two hours to fit, $425 and they can even fit it at your place. If l had have known how it would turn out l wouldn’t have hesitated placing my order. Very happy with my invisible towbar. -----------------------------------------------------Reply--------------------------- Thanks Peter. We just do not have the resources, although we'd love to talk to everyone. The locking mechanism is amazing, easy to detach and you wouldn't even know a towbar was fitted when detached - how technology has changed. Tip trip, there and back with no worries. The tesla plug wiring kit made the installation super easy. Would definitely recommend, particularly with the delivery in less than a week. „

“ Well made and undetectable. Would prefer there to have been safety chain attachment points on both sides, rather than just one. One small flaw with the VW Arteon towbar is that the plug socket had to be mounted sideways, otherwise the bumper prevents you from lifting (or lowering) the flap to insert the plug. Towbar delivered on 14.10.2022 No fitting was requested when ordering, only after delivery. Fitter has unsuccessfully been trying to contact you to no avail - we will keep trying ...... We have provided you with a contact number that you may call, at a more convenient time, if you are unable to take the calls. We will schedule the earliest appointment once we are able to get in touch......  „
